A non profit organisation, Centacare Employment & Training encourages clients to regain and sustain their dignity and work towards building economic and social livelihoods for themselves.

The organisation is spread across six sites through the Perth metropolitan area and has over 80 staff. Centacare Employment and Training delivers a range of programs and services from its six locations, including Employment Services, as well as Australian Apprenticeship Support Services, Personal Support Program, Language, Literacy & Numeracy Programs, Connections Youth Program and courses from our Registered Training Organisation.

Connections programme benefits people in Mirrabooka and Midland

This important programme aims to assist young people aged between 13 to 19, who are disconnected from mainstream schooling, and may also face personal and social barriers, to re-engage in education, training or employment.

“We are proud to assist our local young people who have become disconnected from mainstream education and provide the opportunity to expand their skills base and improve their career options,” Linda Baird said.

Certificate 111 in Health iServices Assistant now taking enrolments

Certificate 111 in Health Services Assistance for men and women whose first language in not English. This Certificate 111 in Health Support Services is designed to reflect the role of Personal Carers and others who may be working or seeking work in a hospital, aged care facility or a client’s home. They perform a range of skilled operations with the need to apply discretion and judgment. There are 15 modules in the programme combining a mixture of theory and practical activities with opportunities for real life work experience.

Certificate 1 in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations)

The aim of this hospitality certificate is to provide students with the opportunity to develop skills, personal confidence and a strong self-belief that will assist them in gaining employment in the hospitality industry. Upon completion of the certificate, students are able to start work within the industry.
