We are a non profit organization and are spread out across seven sites throughout the Perth metropolitan with over 70 staff currently working within our company. Centacare Employment and Training delivers a range of programs and services from all seven locations, including Australian Apprenticeship Support Services, Language, Literacy & Numeracy Programs and courses from our Registered Training Organisation.

Migrants graduate as health support practitioners

Centacare recently held its first graduation ceremony of 2010 at the Wellington Street Office, to celebrate the graduation of students from non English and English speaking backgrounds in the Certificate III Health Services Assistance and Certificate I in Hospitality courses.  It was a proud day for the graduates, as well as their teachers and the community.

Certificate III in Health Services Assistant now taking enrolments

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance for men and women. (New course starting in September) The Certificate III in Health Support Services is designed to reflect the role of Personal Carers and others who may be working or seeking work in a hospital, aged care facility or individual client homes. They perform a range of skilled operations with the need to apply discretion and judgment. There are 15 modules in the programme combining a mixture of theory and practical activities with opportunities for real life work experience.   • Have permanent Australian Citizenship
  • Have an active and valid Healthcare Card and Job Seeker ID Number/Card
  • Have no formal qualifications above a Certificate IV level
