LLNP Relief Teachers

Experience Required

Our LLNP program teaches Language, Literacy & Numeracy skills to adults. We are seeking casual relief teachers for the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program at all our locations, Perth CBD, Cannington, Gosnells, Joondalup, Mirrabooka and Midland.

Our casual relief pool of teachers is our primary resource for permanent part time positions within our organisation. Applications can be sent in at any time.

The successful applicants require the following essential criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in teaching Adult Literacy and/or ESL
• An undergraduate degree (preferably in Education)
• A Working With Children Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
• A National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)

Desirable criteria include:

• Knowledge of Initial Certificate in General Education for Adults
• Knowledge of Certificates in General Education for Adults (CGEA)
• Knowledge of NRS
• Demonstrated experience in teaching adults, particularly beginning reading and writing

Roles & Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of these positions include:

• teaching using skills and strategies suitable for adult beginning readers and writers;
• teaching with the use of practical/active/real life materials;
• teaching ESL groups of beginning readers and writers;
• teaching classes of up to 20 students of differing levels;
• reporting via the NRS framework

The hourly rate for casual teachers is $24.14 per Hr + 1 Hr paid prep for every 3 Hrs teaching.
