Special Projects:
Access and Inclusion

In 2008 Centacare was awarded a project from the Western Australian Government, through the Independent Living Centre of WA, to work towards improving the access and inclusion of people with disabilities.

By using the Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs) to focus on access to services, Centacare took the opportunity to review the way online information is presented through our website.

The project had two streams, firstly a dynamic strategic framework was used to develop an initiative in accordance with DAIPs and broader organisational objectives. Secondly, this informed the delivery of objectives within this project specifically, as well as aligning its outcomes with other initiatives across the organisation. Lasting and continued results are expected, as the dynamic nature of the planning, combined with the DAIP's objectives, will begin to influence and inform future projects at Centacare.

Centacare would like to acknowledge the support of the Western Australian Government and the Independent Living Centre WA in providing us the opportunity to partner with KT Studio; to develop both a W3C compliant website, and a dynamic strategic framework that will see a continued focus on access and inclusion in the future.
