In 2008, Centacare was supported by funding from Reframing the Future and completed a project which provided invaluable professional development for the staff of our RTO.

Through a facilitated ‘Action Learning’ methodology, Centacare reviewed the 2007 Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Standards and mapped them back to current practices in teaching, learning and assessment. This gave staff a clearer understanding of requirements and expectations on their part, as well as providing an opportunity for the team to work together and strategically inform the design of future policy and process.

In addition, this project informed quality processes across the organisation, and in accordance with outcomes from the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIPs) project, a more comprehensive approach to quality is now a key part of our strategic planning process.
