There is a huge skill shortage within the health support services industry. Centacare Employment and Training provide “hands on” training in health support located in at the Wellington Street site in Perth. Skills gained here will give you a great start to a new career in private or public health care.
Improve your English, reading, writing, computer skills and study Certificates 1 to 3 in General Education for Adults (CGEA). The Language Literacy and Numeracy Program funded by the Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR) will help you gain the skills and confidence to reach your goals. The courses are offered Free to adults and last from 120 to 400 hours, depending on the requirements and goals of the individual.

| Certificate 111 in Health Services Assistant now taking enrolments Certificate 111 in Health Services Assistance for men and women. (due to commence on the 15th of February) This Certificate 111 in Health Support Services is designed to reflect the role of Personal Carers and others who may be working or seeking work in a hospital, aged care facility or a client’s home. They perform a range of skilled operations with the need to apply discretion and judgment. There are 15 modules in the programme combining a mixture of theory and practical activities with opportunities for real life work experience. |
