Migrants graduate as health support practitioners

Centacare recently held its first graduation ceremony of 2010 at the Wellington Street Office, to celebrate the graduation of students from non English and English speaking backgrounds in the Certificate III Health Services Assistance and Certificate I in Hospitality courses.  It was a proud day for the graduates, as well as their teachers and the community.

Health Literacy for Indigenous Women in Perth

Centacare Employment and Training participated in the most recent Indigenous Women’s Health Forum in Cockburn on the 16th of September 2009, promoting the Language Literacy and Numeracy Program. In an effort to collaborate more widely across the community, Centacare is now welcoming enquiries from organisations who are interested in collaborating on Health Literacy Projects.
