About the Opportunity

Centacare Employment and Training is currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic Literacy and Numeracy Teachers to join our pool of casual teachers in our Gosnells, Cannington, Armadale and Fremantle centres.

The successful applicants will deliver training in Certificates in General Education for adults.

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Teaching Degree;
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment* (TAE40116) including TAELLN411;
  • Experience in teaching the Certificate in General Education for adults (CGEA);
  • Experience in teaching both native English speakers and those with English as an additional language reflecting best practice;
  • Sound Computer skills;
  • A current National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check.

*Please note the Cert IV is absolutely essential for an application to be considered

Desirable

  • Demonstrated success working with Youth;
  • Experience in using the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF)
