Job Preparation Course

Are you looking for work or get back into the workplace?

Get prepared for work with Centacare’s new Get Work Ready course, designed to provide you with the necessary skills to find and keep employment.

Explore your:

  • Soft skills
  • SMART goals:
    › Identify achievable goals
    › Manage time and resources

Learn about:

  • Job requirements
  • Work options
  • Job search websites, such as SEEK

Work on your:

  • Personal career profiles
  • Confidence with new technology and how to use computers and tablet devices
  • Professional résumé and cover letter
  • Presentation skills

This course also offers visiting industry presenters and excursions to further build on your confidence.

Course Details:

Cost: Free (with referral)

Date: 21st July – 24th September 2021 (10 weeks)

When: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm, Wednesdays and Fridays

Where: 2318 Albany Highway, Gosnells (easily accessed via public transport)

Referrals Open: 15th June 2021

Referrals Close: 9th July 2021

Eligibility/Referral: Participants must have a referral from a ParentsNext or Jobactive provider.

Get work Ready is being run under the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program and is open to job seekers aged 15+.

The course allows participants to develop the essential skills they need to prepare them for employment and build confidence to enter the workforce.
